Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I recently had a massage with an unknown man. He gave me a massage that turned sexual. He masturbated me. I touched his penis and testicles. Then played with his nipples after that, I do not remember him pre-cumming. After playing with his penis and testicles, I played with his nipples and nibbled on them (no blood as I checked with him). I also licked his nipple. I tasted massage lotion on my mouth or tongue and on my lips afterward. He then shared that he is HIV( human immunodeficiency virus) positive which is undetectable and on medication. I stopped then. My concern is that I had a two to three-day-old canker sore from biting my lip. Now I am scared that my hand with massage lotion may have transferred his body fluid to his nipples that I nibbled on and licked with a canker sore on my lip. I know that a canker sore is not open to the bloodstream. I also have gingivitis but did not brush my teeth for many hours before. Does this represent a risk and, if so how much of a risk and should I get tested? If a risk, how is it a risk?

Please help me.

Hi, Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have gone through your query. The situation that you described does not come under high risk, even though the person is known as HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) positive. Oral sex itself has negligible risk when compared to normal sex while licking alone is not classified as a risk. There is not much to worry about in your case as you have not been in direct contact with his body fluids. But it is always advisable to get yourself tested as diseases such as hepatitis B and C can transmit through such modes. I hope I clarified your doubt. If any concerns consult me at icliniq.com.

Thanks and regards.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you, doctor, for clarifying my doubt.

So, I am not in danger of HIV infection, but should get checked out for other complications?

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

How are you doing?

Definitely, the risk of HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) in your scenario is almost negligible. you need not fear. But it is always safe to confirm the same, as medicine can never be 100 % sure. It is only a precautionary measure for your future.

I hope u would not hesitate or delay getting the tests done.

Thanks and regards.
