Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My son is in his twenties and is facing a common issue at this age - pimples. He has dry skin. He has undergone many treatments for this and spent so much money on this. But I can see no improvement in his condition. Instead, I feel they are worsening each day rather than subsiding. Can this be treated? Can you suggest any topical medications?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Acne can be treated easily with facewash, tablets, and creams. Some people have more oil on their faces, which results in breakouts. After completing treatment for controlling the active breakouts, tablets can be stopped, and creams must be continued to prevent a recurrence. Diet and lifestyle modifications are also necessary. Please do not do any self-treatment, such as over-the-counter steroid creams. Do not burst the pimples with your fingers, which can result in ugly scars. The marks left behind after the pimples heal can also be treated. You can send your photos through the online consult option for detailed prescription and diet advice.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
