Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a married man with two children. I have been having problems with early ejaculation during sex for the past two years.

Please suggest some medications to resolve my problem.

Hello,

Thank you for stopping by at icliniq.com.

I am here to provide expert opinion on your medical issues.

Ejaculation depends on our mental state as well. Most commonly, if you are anxious, problems with early ejaculation may occur. If it is caused by anxiety, then I suggest you first control your anxiety with relaxation techniques and breathing exercises. Secondly, you should always take a second try, as most of the time the first ejaculation may happen faster and subsequently time increases. Additionally, a female in a top position also increases the time of ejaculation, so you can try it. However, I suggest you follow the instructions mentioned below.

1. You can start doing some exercises for premature ejaculation (ejaculation on little stimulation), like the start-stop technique, in which whenever you go to the toilet just after starting, you stop your urination for three to four seconds and then again release and repeat this for four to five times whenever you pass urine.

2. A diversion of the mind, whenever you reach the climax, can help delay ejaculation. Your partner can help you divert your mind.

3. If the above measure does not improve your ejaculation problem, then I suggest you take a short-acting medication like Dapoxetine (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor) 30 mg one to two hours before intercourse. It will help delay your premature ejaculation. I suggest you consult a specialist, talk with them, and take the medications with their consent.

I hope this has helped you.

Please follow up if you have more doubts.

Thank you.
