Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am absolutely fine, and I do not have any laboratory reports. I noticed red bumps or spots on my penis head three months ago. I applied some topical anti-fungal medications, but they did not work well. Please guide me. I can send the images if required.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern. Please share the images of the affected area. There are no chances of sexually transmitted infection because you did not have unprotected intercourse. I suggest you undergo the following tests:

  1. Treponema pallidum hemagglutination (TPHA) test.
  2. HPV DNA PCR (human papillomavirus (HPV) polymerase chain reaction) test.
  3. Herpes simplex virus (HSV) one and two and immunoglobulin G (IgG).
  4. Herpes simplex virus (HSV) one and two and immunoglobulin M (IgM) serum test.
  5. Chlamydia trachomatis test.
  6. HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) one and two screening tests.
  7. HBsAg (Hepatitis B surface antigen) test.

If it is a simple bacterial infection, I suggest you apply the T-Bact (Mupirocin) ointment and take the tablet Doxy (Doxycycline) 100 mg twice daily for five days. If you have itching, I suggest you use the ointment Candid-B (Clotrimazole and Beclometasone) and take the tablet Cetzine (Cetirizine) once at night (consult a specialist doctor, talk with him or her, and take medications with their consent). Make sure you clean your genitals twice a day with normal water. Do not use fragrance-based soaps.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
