Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am an 18-year-old female, 5 feet and 5 inches, 130 pounds, and on no current medications and feeling nerve pain, I believe that it may be the left ankle. It was a week ago that I got it. I was walking around a corner and did not see where I was going and hit a nerve in my ankle and it shocked up. I thought the pain would go away like it where in your arm. But I have been there all week. I had dance class and when I danced it did not hurt so I kept dancing but now the pain has traveled up my leg to my knee and would not go away. Sometimes I feel like it is very hard to move my leg like I cannot control it as if it was asleep, especially after I sit down and rest for a while. I would like your input as to what it is and what to do.

Hello,

Welcome to iclniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concern.

This can be soft tissue injury of the nerve and muscle, I suggest you take the medications,

1. Tablet Ibuprofen (Lactose, Maize Starch, Hypromellose) 400 mg two times daily for ten days after food.

2. Tablet Rabeprazole (Rabeprazole sodium) 20 mg two times daily for ten days before food.

3. Tablet Shelcal (Cholecalciferol or Cholecalciferol)) 500 mg two times daily for a month before food.

4. Tablet Vitamin D 6000 units, once daily for 10 days, then once in 11 months.

Take these tablets only if you are not allergic to them. Do not take these tablets if you have bronchial asthma. Examination of the report or image is based entirely on inputs provided to me. It should be correlated with clinical findings. I hope I have cleared all your doubts.

Thank you.

Probable diagnosis

1. Soft tissue ankle injury.
