Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I took an Unwanted-72 on the 14th day of my cycle, and after the next day, there was a blood spot. Now my next period is a month later, and there is very light bleeding that started four days ago in the form of a spot and gel of brown and maroon color. My last period was a month ago, and I had intercourse and took this pill 14 days before my period. I want to know if this is my period or if my regular periods will come in the next few days. Is there any chance of pregnancy?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have gone through your history and understand your concerns.

You may have menstrual irregularities in your case. It could be due to hormonal imbalance caused by an I-pill (Levonorgestrel). As you took I-pill on time within 24 hours, there is almost no chance of pregnancy in your case. You may get withdrawal bleeding due to I-pill within one week. Just watch for the same. So wait and watch for your menses, and get your home urine pregnancy test after seven days of your missed period date.

Hope you found it useful.

Feel free to ask for more information.

Good luck.

Regards.
