Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I had a laparoscopic appendicitis surgery six months back. I started going to the gym two days back. There is a slight pain in the lower stomach now. Is it normal for a gym beginner or a problem?
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand all your concerns. Your laparoscopic operation must have been healed completely and there are no contraindications to exercising in the gym.
The pain is most likely due to muscle spasms due to the exercises you do, especially if related to movements. I recommend that you use local deep heat thrice daily for two weeks.
