Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Please give your opinion on the attached medicines. I am feeling more depressed while taking these medications instead of them treating me. I think I will die with these pills. My stomach is also upset, and I am unable to think anything. I am having suicidal thoughts or feel like killing someone else in my anger. I have a big mood and personality change whenever I feel depressed. Please suggest if I need to take these pills or should I change my psychiatrist.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

After going through your prescription (attachments removed to protect patient identity), this is what I feel. You seem to be having some lability of mood and associated depressive features as well. There seems to be some amount of impulsivity in your personality. More than medications, I feel that interpersonal therapy will benefit you. I advise you to have regular sessions with a clinical psychologist for cognitive behavior therapy along with the prescribed medications. If you still feel suicidal, it is advisable to get treated on an inpatient basis.

Thank you.
