Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am 20 years old and uncircumcised, with a foreskin that is not fully retractable. When erect, I struggle to pull it back enough to expose about 20 percent of the head. However, when flaccid, I can retract the skin more easily, exposing approximately 40 to 50 percent of the head. My penis has a slight curve, which seems to be worsening with age. It curves significantly (about 45 degrees) to the left. I cannot recall any specific incident that may have caused damage to my penis. I do not want to undergo circumcision. I have attached images of my penis at its maximum point of retraction.
Please help.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I have reviewed the attachments (attachments removed to protect the patient's identity). It is important to note that no one has a perfectly straight penis; what you are describing seems within the range of normal. However, if the curvature is worsening and you wish to investigate further, consider getting an ultrasound scan of the penis to check for plaques, which could indicate a condition like Peyronie’s disease.
In the meantime, use lubrication jelly and attempt to retract the foreskin slowly when the penis is flaccid. Avoid pulling the foreskin forcefully. Instead, try to gently pull it back a little more each day. If you experience pain while attempting this, stop and try again the next day. If complete retraction remains difficult even with lubrication, please consult a urologist for further evaluation.
I hope this helps you.
Thank you.
