Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have been experiencing tingling in my right arm and feet, headaches, and dizziness for about one week. I had these symptoms for the first time. I am currently having Quetiapine. Please, what kind of health condition might be the reason behind my symptoms, and is it an emergency to go and seek médical help?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for the query.

Is the right side of the face also tingling? Why are you taking in Quetiapine? What is it for? Are you diagnosed with hypertension, diabetes, and heart disease? I suggest you undergo MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) stroke protocol and check yourself for blood sugar, cholesterol, and ECG (electrocardiography).

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for your reply.

I am taking Quetiapine to treat psychosis. Yes, my right side of the head is feeling weird (but not tingling).

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

You can take Pregabalin 75 mg 1 tablet once a day at 8 pm. If you can tolerate it, you can take one tablet twice a day. Please have your blood checked for fasting blood sugar and cholesterol. If persistent, you may undergo an MRI of the brain stroke protocol to clear you of stroke. Does the scalp feel numb also? Did you check your blood pressure? I hope it is fine.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for your reply.

Blood pressure is fine, but there is no numbness on my face.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Fine, please try to undergo the tests I suggested. Meanwhile, you can try the medication while waiting for the tests. Others feel dizzy with Pregabalin, but the majority do not. I hope you will tolerate the medication. You can give feedback later.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
