Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I have a broken molar that causes a lot of pain and lethargy. I cannot afford to visit a dentist and I fear about sepsis. It has been over a year since the tooth was broken but now, it pains a lot and makes me feel feverish. Kindly help.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I went through your query and I can understand your concern.
I reviewed the attached image (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity). Lethargy and elevated temperature are classical signs of infection from sepsis. As your lower left second molar is grossly carious leading to a root stump, it is getting infected. I would advise getting it extracted as soon as possible, as medicines will work only on a temporary basis and the infection will revert.
Kindly mention if you have any medical history such as blood pressure, or diabetes. Do you have any drug allergies? Kindly answer because the medications might get altered accordingly. So it is important.
I would advise you to do the following:
I hope this helps.
Thank you.
