My Tridot test is nonreactive after 160 days of unprotected oral sex. Is the result conclusive?

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I had oral sex with my partner for 4-5 seconds, then I got scared and got away. And no sexual intercourse. I did not have any symptoms like fever, sore throat, oral thrush, etc. I got tested after seven days and after 160 days Tridot test. Both came negative (Tridot was nonreactive on the 160th day). But I am still a bit scared and could not concentrate on anything because of this fear. So please tell me that the Tridot test on the 160th day can be conclusive? Or do I need to get any other test after 180 days? Please help me with this. I am anxious as I got a folliculitis near my lip and it got reduced in two days. I am uploading my test results.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

The chances of transmission of HIV by the given description are almost nil unless there are bleeding wounds in the contact area. HIV antibodies test (here Tridot) is negative after three months of exposure is conclusive. You are free from HIV provided there is no further risk exposure. There is no need for further HIV tests.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

No bleeding, and I can be assured that this Tridot test negative after three months (5 months 10 days) as conclusive and not even one symptom from then. The last time I am asking you for my happiness, I no need to worry right and be peaceful without any other thought. Because for the past three days, I could not concentrate on my studies as I am going through a lot of mental pressure.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

It is conclusive. You are free from HIV provided there is no further risk exposure. Do not worry. Forget the episode and lead a normal life. Get involved in activities of your interest.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

Yes, that is the only exposure. After that, I got busy with my studies, but being a medical student I might understand everything. Thank you for your kind reply. So I can happily move on with my life without any tension of further tests as on the internet few are telling Tridot negative post 90 days of exposure is confirmative. Still, few tell seroconversion sometimes takes six months, but my test showed negative on 5 months and 10 days. Once again, I am mentioning, in these 5 months 10 days. There are no symptoms of fever, rash over my body, oral thrush, flu, and lymph node enlargement. But just one folliculitis near my lip made me think too much.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Yes, you will be more worried about being a medical student. Just forget the episode. The folliculitis are non-specific. Good, you do not have any other risk exposure. Relax. Do not worry. You are free from HIV. Continue your studies with your sincere efforts and lead a normal life.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
