Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

I dated a girl and slept with her. Unfortunately, my condom broke. From that day onwards, I feel very fatigued and feverish. My eyes are reddish, and my urine is burning. I am so paranoid, so I went for an HIV test last month. The results came negative. After that, I went to urgent care due to burning urination and diarrhea. They said it is a urine infection in urgent care, and she gave injections and antibiotics, and I feel normal. After two days, I got a call from the lab stating that I do not have any urine infections. I still felt feverish and red eyes and went to a physician. She ordered me blood and urine tests again. The blood and urine reports are pretty much clear, and she said sedimentation in the blood is a bit high, showing 28. After she ordered me a TB test, and that test is also negative. I thought it should be some eye infection and went to an eye doctor, and he said my eyes are pretty much good and no infections except dry eyes because of the weather. Right now, I am using Cephalexin 500 mg antibiotics, three capsules a day. I am worried about my health because of a low-grade fever. I am checking every day the temperature is less than 98.5, but still, I feel feverish. What should I need to do? It has been more than a month, and here I attached my blood reports. Please advise.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I have gone through your reports (attachment removed to protect patient identity), and they are absolutely fine. The symptoms you are experiencing can be due to infection, but there is nothing serious. So you do not have to worry at all. Everything will be fine. It may be due to a weak immune system for a recurring infection. As you mention now, your urine is clear, and you have a fever. So I would suggest you do the Widal test once for typhoid fever. If your results are accurate, then you should not be worried anymore.

Along with antibiotics, I would suggest you take tablet Paracetamol 500 mg once a day when you have a fever, Multivitamin tablet 500 mg once a day after meal for ten days.

Treatment plan

Tablet Paracetamol 500 mg sos, Multivitamin 500 mg OD, and Omeprazole 40 mg OD. Continue antibiotics.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
