Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have excessive hair growth and unable to remove the hair as it causes ingrown hair. I do not PCOS, and my hormone levels are normal.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have gone through your test reports, and they are up to mark (attachment removed to protect patient identity).

Can you please tell me when you have this hair growth? Did you use any supplements? Do you get your periods regularly? Please answer.

The other reason for such hair growth can be genetic. If someone in your family has excessive hair, then it is genetically inherited. Because other parameters are normal and you have acne also on the face for that. I would suggest you apply ointment Adapalene gel 0.1 w/w once a day before sleeping for ten days. Please do tell me about hair growth. Since when do you have this? Is it only on the face or other parts of the body as well? Does anyone in your family have excessive hair, especially mom and dad?

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

I have had a problem with excessive hair growth since I was a kid. But it has been increasingly worse since having my son (2 years ago). Now it is growing all over my face. No one else in my family has a problem. I also have hair growth on my chest, arms, etc.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Usually, hormone replacement therapy is given, but your levels are normal. So I would suggest you go for hair removal therapy. Some women face unwanted hair growth due to PCOD (polycystic ovary disease) or increased testosterone, but in your case, all are fine. So do not worry.

Please apply Eflornithine 13.9% w/w cream on facial hair once a day for ten days. And let me know after ten days of your condition. If you develop a burning sensation or itching after applying cream, then stop using it. And please inform me.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
