Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I began experiencing vaginal and anal itching along with pain in the lymph node of the groin area for the past two days. What could be the reason? Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com. Thank you for your query. I understand your concern. It could be a bacterial infection of herpes genitalis if there is pain, burning, and lymph node enlargement. Were there any blisters before the onset of those erosions? Did you have any sexual contact before the onset of the lesion? Any discharge from erosions? I suggest you to apply T Bact (antibacterial) cream twice daily for two weeks. I hope this has helped you. Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

There is no discharge and blister, only lacerations present. I underwent testing for sexually transmitted disease (STD), and the tests came negative. I have a history of yeast infection. I have shared the pictures. I have lacerations near my vagina. Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com. I reviewed your pictures (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity). It seems to be a fungal infection. Lymph node enlargement can be due to secondary bacterial infection. I suggest you to follow a few instructions mentioned below. 1. Try to avoid sexual intercourse until the lesions are healed. 2. Apply Keto B (antifungal) cream daily at night for two weeks. 3. Apply T Bact (antibacterial) cream daily in the morning for two weeks. 4. Most of it is healed within two weeks, but if there is no improvement within two weeks, I suggest you to consult a specialist. 5. I hope this has helped you. Thank you.
