Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

About six weeks ago, I started having pain in my right index finger. It was mainly when I used my mouse. A few days after, both of my hands started hurting. It was mainly in my right-hand joints, but also in other parts of the hand too. I got scared that I got rheumatoid arthritis. I read all about the symptoms and went to an orthopedic doctor. The doctor examined my hands and said it was not rheumatoid. I have no redness or swelling or pain when the doctor examined me. And then a few days ago, I started having slight pain in my knees and I also had pain in my back. But, now pain in my hand is almost gone.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

You do not have rheumatoid arthritis. There is only pain and swelling in the joints along with morning stiffness. If you have pain, you can take Tylenol (Paracetamol). But if there is swelling, fatigue, or morning stiffness you can consult a rheumatologist for evaluation.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Why do I have minor joint pain and back pain? What should I do to get them better?

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Minor joint pain may occur due to a variety of reasons. It may also occur due to vitamin D deficiency. If you are really stressed about the condition please do a test called Anti-CCP antibody test(anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide test). This test can diagnose rheumatoid arthritis which is going to affect you, in the future.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

But you agreed that I would have fatigue, swelling, and morning stiffness if it is RA? and I definitely do not have any of those symptoms.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Yes, if you are with rheumatoid arthritis, then you would have suffered from all these symptoms like morning stiffness, swelling over the joints, fatigue, and inability to close the hand.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
