This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My mother aged 80 years is suffering from acute leg pain. She is a patient of filariasis in right leg and also femur fracture in the same leg. Reports of all recently done tests are normal. Please advice.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

What the patient needs to do is:

Keep the affected leg elevated over two pillows.

Take tablet Orthal forte thrice a day for three days.

Take tablet Carnitor 500 mg twice a day for three days.

Revert back with the x-rays and reports to an orthopaedician and traumatologist online.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

After taking Carnitor, I feel as if the pain got relieved to some extent. But still she is unable to walk freely. We are unable to get Orthal forte anywhere. Please suggest some alternative medicine for it.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thanks for your feedback.

Instead of tablet Orthal forte (cipla) you can also take tablet Chymoral forte thrice a day for three days.

Keep the affected leg elevated over two pillows.

Add tablet Becosules Z (Ascorbic acid) once a day for 15 days. Revert back with the x-rays and reports for better treatment.

Revert back with the investigation reports to an orthopaedician and traumatologist online.
