Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Last week, I noticed a red spot on my penis skin. It was only visible with an erection. It was slightly raised, but it did not hurt. I had my last sexual intercourse two months ago. I never had it before. I am not taking any medicine. Do you have any idea? What is it? Is there anything to make them go away?

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have gone through the attachment (the attachment was removed to protect the patient's identity). There were no abnormalities seen except for the three papules present over the shaft of the penis. Is it associated with itching? These papules are not STDs (sexually transmitted diseases). Do you have an itching sensation anywhere else in the body? Is there any history of the topical application of creams or lubricants? Can you please mark the skin lesions in photographs?

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

I have put an arrow on the spot that is concerned. It is not itchy, and I do not have itching in other areas. I am not using creams or lubricants.

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Yes, there is a single skin-colored papule. It can be a cyst of the apocrine gland. The only way to confirm them is through a skin biopsy, which helps diagnose them. In the future, if it increases in size or if it is associated with any other symptoms, then consider doing an excision biopsy. At present, the lesion is so small. So, it is difficult to comment on the exact diagnosis.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
