Hi doctor,
My penis foreskin is getting dry for the last few months, and a white patch is occurring on it. Also, there is a white rubber-like discharge on my penis head with redness and itching. It is challenging to pull the skin down because white discharge and skin get sticky sometimes. There is a lot of dryness on my penis. I am concerned, but my family doctor said not to worry as it is an infection and prescribed me some antifungal medicine and cream. But after some time that when the dose is over, will the infection start growing again?

I went through your history and photo (attachment removed to protect patient identity). Yes, it is a fungal infection of candidal balanitis. It has chances of recurrence. You need to take a proper course of antifungals to prevent a recurrence. Take tablet Fluconazole 150 mg once a week for two weeks, and Candid gold cream apply daily at night on the penis rash for three weeks. Sometimes when a complete course is not taken, the infection recurs, so apply the cream for at least three weeks.

As you know, I have consulted you, and I was facing candidal balanitis. You prescribed me Fluconazole 150 mg once a week for two weeks and Candid gold cream for three weeks. I have followed this treatment for more than a month, but I am sorry to say, but there is no progress yet. I have got rid of white rashes, but still, there are some of them. For now, I am facing a tight skin issue, white patches on the penis, and shiny patches. And there is white discharge on my penis head like yeast. It is not going. I have shared the photos. Also, when my penis is hard, I get pain and ring-like structure is formed below the penis head, and the white patches on the foreskin are increasing. Before, it was only one patch, and now there are three shiny patches. And in the morning, my foreskin gets stuck to the head and gets very dry. I have to use warm water to pull my skin down. Please help.

I am sorry that you did not get any relief. This should have provided relief. As you are not responding, I suggest you visit a dermatologist in person and get examined and get your tests done. We will have to rule out other diseases like gonorrhea, chlamydia, plasma cell balanitis, etc. These can be diagnosed with personal examination and tests only.
