Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have severe chest and shoulder pain for the past two days. I have a lot of fear about it, and I cannot concentrate on anything the whole day thinking if I have any heart issues.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Your history of pain is very insufficient to diagnose. Please provide the following information. What is the exact location of pain? Since how long do you have this pain? Where did pain originate first? What is the character of pain (burning, aching, pressure)? Does the pain radiate anywhere? What aggravates the pain? What relieves pain? Any special timing of pain (during coughing, movement, exertion, eating, or any other activity)? Do you any pain elsewhere in the body? What are other associated symptoms with pain?

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

I have pain in between the chest and backside left side shoulder. It radiates through the left hand. I have this pain for the past three to four days. The pain originates between the chest, and sometimes on the shoulders, neck, and left-hand pains are regular. There is no particular duration for the pain it comes at any time.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Pain characteristics you described do not seem to be cardiac. It is like muscular pain. Take tablet Paracetamol and Orphenadrine citrate daily three times. Do you have cough, fever, any history of trauma to the chest?

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

I do not have the above-mentioned diseases. To be frank, I have a habit of drinking and smoking. I quit before four years. I suffered from fever and had an injection. Once I got the injection, I felt giddy. Now I do not have that. Is there any problem?

Hello,

Welcome back to icliiniq.com.

Good to know you left the habit of drinking and smoking for your family. Your pain is not related to the heart, so do not take the stress. To be on the safe side, have an ECG done. Another thing is to estimate the risk of future cardiac events. For that, have a fasting lipid profile done. For the current pain, take the medicines which I prescribed.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
