Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have been having pain in my left upper and lower teeth. It has been there for about two months, and I have been having that pain since I had the filings done. It has been hurting up to my ear, but for two months, my teeth have been hurting with cold and hot foods. I am not able to chew on anything, not even hard. Is it because my dentist did bad work and hit my nerve or the filling was not put on properly, or not sealed properly? Or do the teeth already have an infection? I have took Ibuprofen for this. I need help, please.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I thoroughly read your query and understand your concern.

Do not worry. The only solution lies in taking out this filling first and then finding the cause, which is the dentist's work. Nothing will help but drugs that are too temporary. I suggest you take these drugs after consulting with your physician:

1. Ofloxacin 200 mg and Ornidazole 500 mg twice daily for five days.

2. Tablet Ketorolac 10 mg if occasions require (SOS). Put it on the tooth, and it will relieve pain immediately.

But as I told you, you have to remove the filling, which is a permanent solution. If possible, send a radiograph if you have got this time.

I hope this helps.

Regards.
