Hello doctor,

I am a 52-year-old male. I am suffering from decreased erectile function and decreased libido. Also, my triglyceride and estradiol levels are high. Free testosterone 11.65 pg/ml, total testosterone 649 ng/dl, serum estradiol 70.45 pg/ml, height 5’9”, weight 176 lbs, blood pressure 140/90. Presently, on Ecospirin 0.25 and Met XL 0.75. No history of diseases. Triglycerides are 342. KFT, LFT, TFT are normal. Blood glucose and urine routine are normal. I take 5 to 6 cups of tea daily. Please suggest some safe and effective medicines to cure my problems of decreased erectile function and very high estradiol level.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I just read your query and from what you have mentioned it appears that you have erectile dysfunction. I suggest that you check your serum prolactin, FSH (follicular stimulating hormone), LH (luteinizing hormone), serum ferritin, HbA1c levels and get back for review.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

As ordered by you, I am sending the pathological reports of the blood tests. All parameters are normal. Only estradiol level is high. Triglyceride level is also high. Please suggest medical solutions.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I just read your results (attachment removed to protect patient identity) and from what you have mentioned it appears that you have dyslipidemia and that is responsible for your erectile dysfunction. I suggest that you start tablet Simvastatin 20 mg at night for the next six months. Take a low-fat diet and start exercising. Any other treatment for erectile dysfunction at this stage could cause heart problems. So, we will look into that once your lipids normalize. Exercise for 30 to 45 minutes daily by walking. Eat more fruits and vegetables.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
