Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 35-year-old male and I work out five times a week. I take blood pressure medications 100 mg Losartan Pot, 5 mg Amlodipine, 200 mg testosterone cyp a week, and 250 IU hCG twice a week. I also take 500 mg Metformin, 60 mg Armour thyro, and 50 mg Xanax as needed for panic attacks. Six months ago I was at 383 with no activity at all, was tired all the time had no drive for anything. I started the TRT and found out my thyroid was off, I had sleep apnea and obesity. I made a change, now I am being very active and losing weight but do have an irregular heartbeat more than before. I used to have the feeling of an irregular heartbeat one or two times a month but now it is five to six times or more daily. I took the EKG and the results came in. I am also taking Milk thistle 200 mg, pure Ascorbic acid vitamin C 3000 mg, DHEA 25 mg, vitamin D3 15000 IU, iodine 12.5 mg, melatonin 3mg, Zinc 50 mg, and multivitamins. I did drunk a lot.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

It is called a right bundle branch block and s basically a conduction defect in the heart. The reason for it, in you probably is OSA (obstructive sleep apnea) and hypertension. I guess you do not have any chest pain on exertion. This is usually a benign condition and the prognosis depends on the underlying condition which is hypertension in you. So overall no need to worry about it about the ECG. All changes like right axis deviation are due to the right bundle branch block. Focus on hypertension and obesity control. You should have a healthy lifestyle like avoiding fatty, oily, and high-calorie diets. Have a low-salt diet and monitor blood pressure regularly. Do regular exercises like brisk walking, and jogging according to your capacity at least 30 minutes a day and five days a week. Take lots of green leafy vegetables, fruits, and fish once or twice a week, avoid meat. Avoid smoking and alcohol if any. There should not be abdominal fat deposition or obesity. You should also be started on anti-lipid therapy like tab Rosuvastatin 10 mg at bedtime. Repeat the lipid profile after six weeks. Thank you.
