Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 37-year-old male. I have been having chest pain on the left side. The chest report shows few subcentimetric non-necrotic lymph nodes in the bilateral axillary region. The largest lymph node on the right side measures (15 x 9 mm). Can you please suggest whether the report shows any major problem.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com. I understand your concern, The subcentimetric lymph nodes are 99% insignificant. They indicate some minor infection that can be easily cured with antibiotics. However, if the pain persists, the lymph nodes start increasing in size, you start losing weight or start losing your appetite for food, then it would be a good idea to get them evaluated. You will need a test called FNAC (fine needle aspiration cytology) from the largest lymph node. It will clear all the doubts regarding the cancerous nature of the lymph nodes within three days. But this is just for your satisfaction. However, I strongly believe that your lymph nodes are insignificant as they are very small in size. I suggest taking a course of antibiotics for five days with mild pain killers. 1. Tablet Cefixime clavulanate (Cefixime 200 mg, Potassium clavulanate 125mg). 2. Tablet Enzoflam (Paracetamol 325mg, Diclofenac sodium 50mg and Serratiopeptidase 15mg). You should be completely fine with this treatment. Kindly follow up for more queries. Regards.
