Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I would like to ask a question about my teeth. I currently have braces, and I have had them for two years. I am scheduled to have them removed in the coming month. However, I am worried as I do not think they are ready yet. My teeth are uneven in length, one side is higher up than the other, one of my front teeth is longer than the other, and they are not good at all. I was given class III and class II elastics to help fix my midline. I do not know what to do as I have already had my last tightening appointment, which was on the 10th of this month. Should I change the way I wear elastics, and do you think teeth will position evenly before getting it removed. Also, do stained power chains mean they are less effective at moving teeth? I have attached a photo so that you can see my teeth.

Thanks.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Please be calm.

Unfortunately, your picture is not getting opened, so I cannot predict the current situation. But I think if you are wearing retainers and elastics, they will probably give good results. So I suggest you either send the current clinical picture of the current situation or follow the current schedule up to the scheduled date because I think 15 days are sufficient to bring good alignment. Regarding power chains, as per my experience, they close spaces effectively as they could be very effective.
