Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Since today morning, there has been slight irritation in the penile opening and a foul smell from the penis. I do not have pain during urination or any other symptoms. Kindly help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thanks for writing in, and I understand your concern. I had gone through the pictures attached (attachments removed to protect the patient's identity). I do not see any red spots, patches, or white material. The foreskin is easily retracted, and there is no swelling in the head of the penis. Since you mention there is no pain or irritation while urination or any other symptoms, and you have a concise history of presenting complain, that is, a one-day history of complaints, it is difficult to diagnose what the reason could be. Do you have any history of sexual exposure? It is not balanitis or UTI (urinary tract infection). I would suggest you wash the genital area regularly. Sometimes this is enough to get rid of the problem. If there is any chance of infection-related cause, there would be red spots, itching, irritation, etc., as symptoms. So I suggest you follow the above measures and watch if any other symptoms appear or not. I hope you find the reply useful. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
