Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My right ovary follicle is 17*14 mm, left ovary follicle is 32*20 mm, right cyst is 4.3 mm, and free fluid in POD. Can I conceive if my left ovary has a cyst? The first time when I got conceived, I had a miscarriage after five weeks and then I came to know about the cyst. Surgery was done before 10 months. I am suffering from endometriosis but I do not have any symptoms. Now I am trying for pregnancy but I am not able to get pregnant. My husband and I work in NGO and we cannot afford IVF. Please give me some suggestions to get pregnant.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for your query.

You had surgery for endometriosis and findings of a chocolate cyst. Since you are trying to conceive, it is better to have a healthy lifestyle, take healthy precautions, and try with a positive wish. Since you have PCOD and trying to conceive, you have to be on supportive medications. The frequent appearance of a cyst due to hormonal treatment should be resolved. You can try for conception naturally and stop hormone treatment to avoid multiple cyst formation. I suggest you to follow a few instructions mentioned below.

  1. Have a healthy diet with less salt, sugar, oil, and spice.
  2. Try to maintain weight and have a normal BMI by exercising regularly.
  3. Have sex in the fertile period of the cycle.
  4. Have tablet Folic acid 5 mg daily.
  5. Check if you have any medical issues and get them treated.
  6. Try naturally for some cycles to avoid overstimulation of ovaries by extra hormones. If you are unable to conceive then try again with hormonal support.
  7. Have recreational activities and avoid recreational drugs as a couple.

Kindly consult a specialist, talk to them, and take medications with their consent.

I hope that the cyst will resolve itself in the absence of externally induced hormones and if you again have these hormones it can lead to hyperstimulation syndrome that could be an emergency.

I hope this has helped you.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
