Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

A girl is having a PCOS problem. She had unprotected sex, but there was no ejaculation. Since she was scared of getting pregnant due to the precum, she took Unwanted 72 within four hours of unprotected sex. It has been 14 days since she had not got her periods. She is getting symptoms of periods like breast pain but has not got her periods. Are there any chances that she could be pregnant?

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for writing, and I understand your concern.

The chances of pregnancy are less, as you mentioned that the partner does not ejaculate inside her. And as she took the pill, there are no chances of pregnancy. For a delayed menstrual cycle, the reason can be PCOD (Polycystic ovary disease), and as you have mentioned already. Another reason can be due to the pill taken by her because it contains hormones that regulate the menstrual cycle, which leads to delayed menstruation.

  • Can you please tell me when her last period was?
  • Did she spot any bleeding after a few days of sex?
  • Is she sure that the person did not ejaculate inside?
  • In how many days she gets periods usually?

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for your reply.

Her last periods were two months back. There was no bleeding after the sex. She is sure that there was no ejaculation inside her. It may take once in 1.5 to 2 months or more for her to get her periods usually.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Do not worry; it is normal. There are no chances of pregnancy. To rule out, do a urinary pregnancy test (UPT). It is easy and can be done at home. Just buy Prega news or any UPT from the pharmacy and use the first urine in the morning. And you can see the results. If anything else, please let me know.

Thank you.
