Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have been having ear problems with ringing sound in both ears and pain in and around them. When I put both hands on either sides of my face in front of my ears where TMJ is located, it feels like one is bigger than the other. I also have fullness in my ears.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Ringing sensation with mild discomfort in both ears are nothing serious to worry about. Ringing sensation are subject sensation, mostly noticed during sleep or in silent environment. Try to ignore the ringing sensation by playing music, watching TV or talking with others. Pain in and around the ear can be because of blocked ear or blocked eustachian tube. If your pain aggravates while chewing it can be because of temporomandibular joint arthralgia. Take tablet Paracetamol 500 mg + Chlorzoxazone 500 mg (whenevere you feel severe pain). Take steam inhalation two times a day. Prevent entry of water in ear. Avoid ear picking and chewing hard solid foods. Follow up if you have persistent ringing sensation all day or persistent pain.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
