Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Please do mention whether it is painful or not? If possible you can attach a photograph of the swelling?

As of now, you can try a topical antifungal that may be available online or over the counter in the US (Terbinafine ointment). Apply it over the itching in the morning after shower and before going to bed.

If possible get a testicular ultrasound done and do post to me.

The Probable causes:

Fungus.

Investigations to be done:

USG scrotum.

Preventive measures:

Keep the area dry.

Thank you doctor,

It must be a very severe fungus as my testicles are at least three times the size. Also, it is so inflamed and thick that I cannot feel my balls any longer. I have no pain but it is very itchy with thick skin as well.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Do not worry. You will have an immediate relief once you start applying the ointment. As you mentioned the itching is severe you can take antihistaminic tablet orally (Cetirizine 5 mg) in the morning and night after food. Please avoid driving car or machineries during the night after taking the tablet. By the way, the picture you have sent is not clear. (attachment removed to protect patient identity).

Support your scrotum with proper underwear. Add tablet Amoxicillin plus Clavulanic acid 625 mg thrice daily after food, and Chymoral forte one capsule thrice daily before food. Reach a nearby urologist at the earliest if symptoms persists. Looks more of severe allergic lymphoedema.
