Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My brother has been experiencing back pain, mild stomach discomfort, and cloudy urine for the past month. He also occasionally suffers from diarrhea. Could you please provide your opinion on what might be causing these symptoms?

We would appreciate your insight.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com

I understand your concern

Cloudy urine is a sign of infection, especially in males. It would help if you addressed it on priority. For diagnosis of the infection, investigations include urinalysis and culture. In addition, ultrasound of KUB (kidney, ureter, and bladder) should be done to rule out other diseases. Further investigation might also be required depending on the initial investigations. If he develops a fever, he should be admitted to a hospital for catheterization, and a course of antibiotics should be given until the cause is known.

I hope this helps. In case of more queries, feel free to ask.

Thank you and kind regards.
