Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My dad is suffering from throat infection from the past four months. He is telling that there is no pain. But, there is a sensation which makes him feel uncomfortable. He went to many doctors but everyone said it is due to gastric. But, last week he had done a GI endoscopy and the RUT results are positive. So, I just want to know if it is a serious matter.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Acid reflux can lead to chronic cough and throat pain. So, acid reflux should be treated with an antacid like Rabeprazole.

Avoid excess spicy foods.

The head can be elevated while sleeping.

Provide your report to comment further regarding endoscopy results.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
