Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have been on treatment for my anxiety, and I am taking Paxidep for the last two years. And I am taking Thyronorm for my hypothyroidism. Can I start with an Ayurvedic booster once a day for feeling lethargic and for low energy?

Please help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thanks for the query.

I can understand your concern.

You should avoid those multivitamins or supplements that contain iron, calcium, magnesium, etc., while on thyroid hormone replacement therapy like Thyronorm because these elements can interfere with the absorption of Thyronorm. So, your total thyroid hormone replacement treatment will be hampered due to taking multivitamins or multi-minerals that contain iron, calcium, or magnesium. So, it will not be wise to take any herbal or Ayurvedic medicine.

Hope it helps.

Thanks and regards.

Take care.
