Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am suffering from various symptoms of balanitis, such as itchiness near the groin and penis area, trouble and pain in retracting the foreskin, as well as skin irritation on the tip of the penis. I am 20 years old, and I am not on any prescription medication currently. What should I do?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Phimosis means tight foreskin. In this condition, the foreskin may not move freely. There are two ways to treat it one is medical, and the other is surgical. I will suggest medical treatment. First, pull down the foreskin as down as possible and apply Betamethasone cream on the inner side of the foreskin where it is tightly attached, do it three times daily for the next 2 to 3 months. Betamethasone will help to loosen the skin, also, do daily stretching exercises of the foreskin; that is, stretch the forward foreskin for 30 seconds and then stretch downward for 30 seconds, do it daily for 5 minutes. I suggest you consult a specialist and use the below-mentioned medication with their consent. For itching, apply ointment Lulifin (Luliconazole) locally once a day. Use tablet Tetraconazole 200 mg once a day for 14 days. Keep the area dry and clean.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Will the penis tip inflammation will reduce once I start using these medicines? Furthermore, do these medicines have any side effects?

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

The medicines can cause the abdomen to be upset. For that, tablet Pantoprazole 20 mg on an empty stomach can be taken.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
