Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have been trying for a baby for five years. I am now 43 years old. I have not done any IVF treatments. I have done ovaries rejuvenation treatment(PRP), but after that, no results. Can I get pregnant naturally without doing IVF? Kindly help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern.

With increasing age, there is a reduction in both the number and quality of eggs. At 43 majority of the eggs would be chromosomally normal. So the probability of success in an IVF (in-vitro fertilization) is also very low. If you do not wish to try any fertility treatment, you could continue to try it naturally. I assume your husband's semen analysis is fine, and you are having regular intercourse. If IVF is not an option, then the donor egg program is out of the question, which is the one treatment with the highest probability of success in your case.

I hope this helps.

Thank you.
