Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Can you examine the reports attached below? I had a high fever for two days in the last week. Then it again came back a day before yesterday. It was a high fever.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have gone through your reports (attachment removed to protect patient identity). In the first one, malaria is negative. And the second one shows low WBC (white blood cells) and borderline hemoglobin, and platelets. This is suggestive of viral infection and another possibility is of typhoid infection. Since your cells are low, it is very important that you get yourself examined by a local doctor in person for any other abnormalities. In my opinion, you will also need some more tests, like dengue NS1Ag (antigen) and dengue IgM, typhi dot IgM, to find the cause for it. Get liver and renal function test done as well. Also, repeat complete hemogram day after tomorrow.

You should only have tablet Paracetamol 500 mg up to three to four times a day for fever, avoid other painkillers, have rest and avoid the possibility of injury, avoid outside, unhygienic or even raw foods till your count recovers. And you should visit a nearby doctor once.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
