Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I had a hard stool a month back and after that, I started to have sharp pain and burning issues. Initially, I thought of it as anal fissure. I increased my water intake and fiber in my diet to keep constipation away. I consulted a homeopathy doctor and he advised me to use Toronale cream. Sometimes, it burns a lot. It has been a month. My problem is getting better. But still, I have sharp pain and burning issues for few hours after passing stools. Sometimes I feel that I have a wound in my rectum. I am unable to find anything when I put my finger over there. Should I need to do lower endoscopy? Kindly help me.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Avoid insertion of fingers. It can cause pain and non-healing of anal fissure. Your symptoms are due to anal fissure and it gets healed by avoiding constipation and by using medicines. You can also use Xylocaine 2% gel (lignocaine) once in six hours a day with Diltiazem gel (calcium channel blocker) once in six hours daily for five days. Use the nozzle given on the package for application and avoid using fingers. For constipation, take Isabgol husk two tablespoons daily with warm water. Take plenty of water.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
