Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I had a blow job with a girl whose health status was unknown, and it was happened one and half years ago. I have no symptoms, and I am good with my health. The activity was only for two to five minutes, and I leaked mine into her mouth. Do I need to be worried? I did not have any other exposure after that, and I am good with my health. Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. Oral sex is also considered one of the ways to transmit STIs (sexually transmitted infections). STIs can be transmitted with oral sex, including chlamydia, gonorrhea, herpes, HPV (human papillomavirus), etc. A person receiving oral sex can get STIs in the genital area if the other individual has an infection in the throat. In your case, it depends whether that girl was having any kind of STIs in her throat or not. Most individuals do not experience any symptoms of the STIs received through oral sex. Still, the concerned individual should seek professional medical guidance if there is any doubt whether another girl had an infection in her throat or if the person was receiving oral sex experienced any kind of symptoms. You have mentioned that you did not have any symptoms concerned with STIs until now. The event happened around one and half years ago, so you probably did not catch any infection by oral sex. As I mentioned, many individuals do not show any symptoms, but I suggest you get a blood test done if there is any worry regarding it.

Kindly revert in case of further queries.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for the reply. The girl is not a sex worker, or she is not a bad girl demanding sex. The incident happened suddenly, and we did not have any intercourse. Just a blow job. My concern is, do I need to be worried about HIV. Kindly help.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. I would not think there is a risk of HIV (human immunodeficiency virus), and it should not worry you. Oral sex is one of the ways of transmission of STIs when the male or female is involved in multiple sexual activities.

I hope you understand.
