Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a male who had unprotected oral and genital with a massage therapist sex last month. After nine days, I noticed a bump that looked like skin tags, but I was scared it might be genital warts. My questions are: could the be genital warts be shown after nine days? Can genital warts be transmitted from oral to genital? I tested negative on other tests like HIV, herpes, gonorrhea, chlamydia, and syphilis. The lesion looks skin-colored and very small, about 1 mm. There are times that I feel a biting pain from around it (I do not know if it is from the lesion). Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern. Yes, this could be a genital warts caused by HPV (human papillomavirus virus) infection, and yes, it can be transmitted with oral sex and during unprotected intercourse. However, the only way to diagnose is to remove it and send it for histological examination. Please follow up with the result. Genital warts are not dangerous to health. Those are incurable and sometimes come small, fall off, and bigger will need surgical excision. If you have any more queries, please let me know.

Kind regards.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you for your response. So warts can appear within nine days?

Hello,

Welcome to back to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern. As I said, those warts can fall off if they are small, but if they are big, they need surgical removal, and a biopsy can only give us a correct diagnosis. If it is HPV (Human papillomavirus vaccine), it is a condition that cannot be cured, and it can come back. Please do let me know if you have any other queries. Thank you.
