Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I had my first sex with a sex worker 14 days ago with condom protection. My body gets itching in the chest, forearms, and back of spinal regions, and the itching is not severe. In the forearm and chest region, little pimple-like formations have appeared but not too much.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

It may be due to irritation or over-cleaning with soaps or infestations. Do not worry about random itching. Maintain hygiene and do not use harsh soaps. Use moisturizing lotions after a bath if the skin is dry. You can take antihistamines like Cetirizine if too itchy. Consult your doctor for examination and management if it does not subside or worsens. The chances of HIV transmission by given description is almost nil if the condom is used in the right manner. If you are suspecting HIV risk, you can go for HIV (human immunodeficiency virus), polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests now, and HIV antibodies test after three months of exposure.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

After bathing, only my body gets itching. Then after some time, it stops, and after some time, it starts to itch again.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com

Use moisturizing soap of your choice. Do not use harsh soaps, be gentle. Use moisturizing lotions immediately after bath. See that there is adequate ventilation. Take antihistamines as suggested if required. Consult your doctor if it does not subside or worsens.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
