I am developing anxiety and depression due to some past childhood events. What to do?
Hello, I’m a 20 yr old female. Throughout my childhood I’ve experienced “paranormal” things; mostly in the form of visual hallucinations of shadows and odd movement. I’ve been treated for anxiety and depression in the past, but still struggle with anxiety often. I am haven’t taken medication in at least 3-4 years. Last year I began having auditory hallucinations as well. I only experience these things when I’m alone for the most part, and only at two locations. One being my parents when I house sit, the other being my grandparents. I have experienced traumatic familial situations at both locations, however the hallucinations don’t seem to relate to those experiences. I frequently endure intrusive thoughts, but never want to act them out. When I have hallucinations, I grow increasingly paranoid and struggle to sleep, eat, use the restroom etc. I have told 2 therapists about this in the past, but was immediately referred to psychiatrist and prescribed anti-depressants, which numbed my fear but not the experiences. I have a family history of mental health issues including Schizophrenia, Depression and Generalized Anxiety Disorder. Maybe this isn’t the best place to post this, but I would really appreciate some answers and/or suggestions. I would feel very comforted if I at least had an idea of what might be causing this. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this.

I do not cry or get angry when someone tries to make me angry. Is it a personality disorder?
Hi doctor,
I am 20 years old. I want to ask about something. This is a psychological question. I am having this problem for years. I am very closed up. I do not tell my stuff to any people around me. I do not feel pity for anyone. I do not have sympathy or pain. I do not cry or feel angry when anyone tries to make me angry. I just leave them as such and my mother says to me that I am abnormal. Is it a sign of personality disorder? I do not feel nervous when I have a situation to face. But I had a breakdown once. I lashed out and cried a lot. After that, I was like nothing happened.

I am not used to telling people how I feel, and I usually cry it out alone. Is it normal?
Hi doctor,
I am concerned about my mental health. I had a breakdown before few days and I have thoughts of suicide. After that, I started watching depression videos. I listen to depression songs. I have overthinking habit and it triggers my emotions easily. It makes me feel irritated. I can think rationally but I cannot act it out. I cannot tell clearly what I am feeling now. I do not express my feelings to anyone and I usually cry while I am alone. Is this normal? Is there a huge probability for me to have depression?
