The patient has a history of itching over the anterior aspect of the left leg with several scaly lesions over the shin associated with varicose veins.

    This is venous stasis dermatitis. This condition occurs when the blood that builds up in the damaged blood vessels begins to leak out of the blood vessels.
    various treatment modalities are available that include Topical corticosteroids, ligation of the vessels, Combination therapy with autologous platelet-rich plasma and light-emitting diodes Compression stockings, nonsteroidal calcineurin inhibitors tacrolimus and pimecrolimus
