Eardrum Perforation

A small tear or injury in the eardrum, or tympanic membrane, is known as an eardrum rupture. The middle and outer ear canals are separated by a layer known as the tympanic membrane. When sound waves enter the ear, this membrane vibrates. The middle ear's bones are affected by the vibration as well. If the eardrum is damaged, this vibration can make it harder to hear.
