Hormonal problems in children arise due to an imbalance in one or more of the glands of the endocrine system. The endocrine system consists of the pituitary, thyroid, and adrenal glands, pancreas, testes or ovaries, thymus, parathyroid, penial, and hypothalamus. All these glands produce hormones that are necessary for the proper functioning of the body. Any problem in any of these glands can cause hormonal imbalance.
