Some of the causes are a neck injury, osteoarthritis, neck strain, degenerative disc disease, cervical spondylosis, spinal stenosis, fibromyalgia, bad posture, cervical radiculopathy, and a herniated disc. It can also result from infections like throat infection, lymph node enlargement, tuberculosis, and meningitis.
