Common "Back Injury" queries answered by top doctors | iCliniq

Back Injury

Back injury usually occurs due to muscle or ligament sprain or strain. A sudden awkward movement or repeated lifting of heavy objects can strain the back muscles and spinal ligaments and cause back pain. Poor posture during sleep can also cause back pain. Ruptured disc, osteoporosis, and osteoarthritis can also cause back pain. Back injuries can be treated by taking rest, applying ice packs and heat compression on the back, and strengthening exercises. Taking painkillers helps to relieve symptoms, and surgery is advised in severe cases.
