Disseminated intravascular coagulation is a severe type of blood clotting disorder. The blood inside the blood vessels starts to form clots in response to cancers, infections, or inflammations. These clots will circulate in the body and block the blood flow to vital organs damaging them. Or the bocks will break down the components of the healthy blood as it flows through the vessels. One may have spontaneous bleeding too.
