It is chronic Fungal infection, may take 6 to 8 weeks for cure.

1. Ask to prepare a paste of Dry Ginger=Sonth in water + add few drops of Coconut oil or Glycerol and to be applied on affected swollen nail bed and sides, at night and clean in morning; there after ask to dust Turmeric powder, this is to be done daily for 4 weeks.
2. Kaishor guggulu tablet 500 mg 2 tablets twice daily with plain water, to be continued for 4 weeks.
Progress may be informed in between if required.

Dear Dr Ishwar,
Yes it is true that this is a chronic fungal infection.
Change vihar more than anything else, plz check if she has recently changed any dishwash bars or so.
Gunjadi oil locally overnight should be the DOC, also to prevent recurance ghandak rasayan vati and tiktkam kashayam or nimbadi kashayam can be used for few weeks.
Hope that helps
