Medical Case Details:
Last month I got one interesting case of RCT in government dental college and hospital where I found a 32 years old lady came to me with a complaint of paining tooth. She was afraid and LA was not working on her. I motivated her for the treatment and she agreed to go without LA. It was hard for her. On first day I made a class 1 cavity on her 46 and filled it with temporary restoration (cavitemp).
Then, I recalled her after 3 days. She was normal and confident in the next meet. I removed temporary and started to work and she was fine even after access opening. Then, I again gave her temporary restoration and recalled her after 3 days.
She came back with more confidence and then I started her BMP and while I was doing this I noticed that files were not reaching the complete length of root. It was not touching apex. As a junior dentist I asked my senior colleagues about ways to remove the blockage. It was 2mm to 4mm short in 3 roots. And then I decided to remove blockage with 10 number K - file. But it seemed twisted after few trials. Then, I tried H files and they also failed to remove the block. And then I decided to do BMP on the same short length and patient was fine even after 3 days of next recall.
She came back to me for obturation and I did it with the advice of one senior doctor and she is doing fine till now.
