The saturated fat in the junk food as well as diabetes weakens the immune system. So,you should eat healthy food and avoid too much fat, sugar and salt. You should do kidney function tests, urine analysis for protein,Hemoglobin A1C and eye examination every 6 months.Smoking and drinking are ant allowed.
